I started running when I was 11 years old with my uncle who used to prepare for Police force. We used to get up at 4 am and run for about 8 KM every day. Since then I have been running regularly except few years gap when I started my job.

The biggest motivation is my fitness, boosting self-confidence and it help me to unleash my potential by breaking self-created barriers one by one as I set new target every year.

My body is very much flexible due to running and exercising. Flexible body ensures that there are very less chances of developing any kind of problem in your body, of course one has to take care and have proper diet.

I joined my current organization in 2011. During one of the management meetings my Chairman came to know about my hobby of running marathons and he gave me responsibility to Lead the project & develop Sentiss marathon team. I organize practice sessions for my colleagues on regular basis and successfully prepared 100+ employees to run in different running events in Delhi-NCR and out of that 40+ employees participated in Full and Half marathon (Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, Running and Living, Devil’s Circuit, XWarrior etc.) and completed the race. Interesting fact is people who ran Half Marathon, it was 1st time for them and they complete within three hours because of regular practice under my guidance.

Now I have become mentor to my colleagues and friends in all age groups and they regularly ask me tips and tricks to run and walk on regular basis. This has given me another boost as I can see lot of improvement in fitness level of my colleagues and they are running on regular basis.

Gear:

I have been using Nike Running shoes which are really good & comfortable for running. I am using Nike+ mobile app while running, Mobile phone arm band. I would recommend Nike running shoes. People may use any mobile app because there many application in Android & IOS app stores.

Routine:

My day starts with running, I usually get up at 4:45 am in the morning and run for about 3-4 KM and then exercise a lot. With this I feel afresh and full of energy during whole day. It keeps me energize 24 Hrs. Off course running has affected my health in very positive way as I could maintain my weight at constant level since 15 years.

It does not matter whether I am at home or travelling, my running kit travel with me and I run or walk regularly where ever I am because I have seen the benefits.

Often, when I see my progress over time, and just look back to see where I have come from, I get amazed, as well as excited by the fact that – Whatever I want to achieve, is within my control.
